At FamilyMake™, your privacy and the confidentiality of your intellectual property are our top priorities. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information and digital designs.
1. Information Collection
- Contact Information: We collect your name, email, and phone number to provide order status updates and receipts.
- Physical Data: We collect shipping addresses to fulfill deliveries.
- Digital Designs: We store the 3D models (STL files) you upload solely for the purpose of additive manufacturing.
- Transactional & Payout Data: Customer payment details are processed securely by our partners (Paystack and Stripe). For vendors, we collect bank account numbers, bank names, and identity verification credentials (such as BVN or NIN) solely to verify accounts and disburse earnings securely via Paystack. We do not store credit card numbers in our own database.
2. IP Confidentiality
Confidentiality Guarantee
FamilyMake LTD treats your 3D models as trade secrets. Our employees and contractors access your files exclusively for print preparation (slicing) and quality control. We do not share, sell, distribute, or reuse your proprietary designs for any other purpose without your explicit written consent.
3. Cookies & Tracking
We use session cookies and modern analytics tools (Vercel Analytics & Speed Insights) to improve site performance and user experience.
- Session Management: To remember your cart and upload status during a browser session.
- Performance Metrics: To monitor system vitals and ensure the high-performance 50MB upload engine is functioning optimally globally.
4. Data Retention
Your contact and order history are stored in our secure MongoDB Atlas clusters for business record-keeping and tax compliance. 3D model files are retained for up to 90 days after fulfillment to allow for re-printing in case of defects, after which they may be securely purged.
5. Your Rights & Statutory Compliance
In accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and other applicable regional data privacy frameworks, you have explicit rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to Erasure: You may request the immediate deletion of your 3D models from our servers after an order is fulfilled.
- Data Access & Portability: You may request a complete summary of all personal and financial data stored under your profile by FamilyMake LTD.

6. Security Measures
We employ industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for all data in transit. Our database (MongoDB Atlas) is encrypted at rest and protected by multi-factor authentication and strict IP whitelisting.
